A pair of flying Pixiu figurines hand-carved from man-made blue sandstone, also known as blue goldstone. The deep blue glass is scattered with copper-gold flecks that shimmer like a night sky.
Please note: blue sandstone is a man-made glass, not a natural crystal or mineral.
Quantity: a pair of 2 flying Pixiu (sold only as a pair). Dimensions (each): about 70 mm (L) × 26 mm (W) × 46 mm (H). Weight: about 339 g for the pair.
A considered gift for a housewarming or a new office.
Background In Chinese folklore, the Pixiu is a winged mythical creature, often displayed in pairs at an entrance or on a desk. It is presented here as a decorative carving and a nod to that tradition.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemicals and prolonged soaking. Avoid drops and knocks against hard surfaces, and place carefully when displaying.
